15 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky 46% ABV
 
The White Heather 15 Year Old is produced by The GlenAllachie Distillery, under the watchful eye of legendary Master Distiller Billy Walker. While GlenAllachie is best known for its award-winning single malts, Walker has also revived the historic White Heather name, originally created in the early 1900s, giving it a thoroughly modern interpretation.
 
This blend combines carefully selected malt and grain whiskies that have all spent at least fifteen years maturing before being brought together. Rather than simply marrying the whiskies and bottling them, the blend undergoes additional maturation in a combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and American virgin oak casks. This secondary maturation allows the different components to integrate while layering in extra complexity.
 
Expect aromas of honey, soft orchard fruits and vanilla before richer notes of dried figs, toffee, cinnamon and dark chocolate emerge. The grain whisky provides elegance and sweetness, while the mature malt whiskies contribute body, spice and remarkable depth.
It's a wonderful reminder that blending is not about hiding imperfections, it is an art form in its own right.
