The distillery was established in 2017, marking a new chapter for the island’s whisky heritage.
 
The name "Torabhaig Cnoc Na Moine" combines Gaelic elements, with "Cnoc Na Moine" translating to "hill of the moss"
 
The distillery uses peat from the island to give the whisky its signature smoky and earthy notes
 
Torabhaig employs traditional methods of whisky-making, using copper pot stills & wooden washback's. The climate, with its cool, damp conditions, means that whisky matures more slowly on the Isle of Skye. This slower maturation process enhances the complexity & flavour.
 
Nose: Tobacco smoke with citrus & vanilla
 
Palate: Tobacco is joined by oak & leather
 
Finish: Short finish & smooth watery feel
