Michter’s us*1 bourbon
American Small Batch Whiskey 45.7% ABV
America’s First Whiskey Legacy:
Michter’s traces its roots back to 1753, making it one of the oldest names in American whiskey. Originally known as Shenk’s Distillery, it operated in Pennsylvania during the Revolutionary War era—and even reportedly supplied whiskey to George Washington’s troops!
Each Michter’s batch is typically made from 20 barrels or fewer, allowing for extreme control and consistency—quite rare in the world of American whiskey. Unlike most producers, Michter’s does not add water after batching. They "barrel to bottling strength", meaning the whiskey is bottled at the exact proof it was dumped from the cask—preserving its character
