The Distillery came from an idea devised by a group of friends, drinking Rye in a sauna, questioning why nobody was producing Rye Whisky in Finland.
 
The friends found an old diary but started to use their parents house as a fermentation hall & used a borrowed pot still hundreds of miles away for the first batch.
 
Kyrö Malt Oloroso is the first Finnish single batch rye whisky, made from 100% malted Finnish wholegrain rye. It is double pot-distilled and aged in three barrel types: Oloroso sherry, new American oak & ex-bourbon. Mellow yet spicy, nose of nuts and caramel.
 
Nose: Nuts, dried fruits & caramel
 
Palate: Nuts, Honey & Raisin are joined by a sweet Rye bread
 
Finish: A medium Oak & pepper spice finish
