Knob Creek 9 year old Bourbon

Kentucky Bourbon 50% abv

Aged for 9 years in first fill, charred American oak barrels

 

Bourbon has to be aged for at least two years to qualify as straight bourbon or for 4 years in bond. Knob Creek wait 9 years in keeping with their mission statement of restoring whiskey to the way its meant to be.

 

An unflinching balance of deep, pre-Prohibition-style bourbon, finished to 100% proof.

 

Knob Creek is a small batch bourbon produced by Jim Beam, distilled in a more traditional style. It is named for the area in Kentucky where Abraham Lincoln grew up

 

Nose: Oak is a strong feature in the expression, pulling from the time spent in the barrel.

Palate: Again Oak with a rich, sweet vanilla belly. Hints of caramel also present.

Finish: A long & pleasant woody oil coats the mouth, making it water for another sip.
