Glendronach Port Wood is inspired by the 19th-century tradition of shipping casked port wine from Portugal’s Douro Valley to Scotland. The whisky receives a secondary maturation in port casks for around three years
 
In contrast the distillery has a rich tradition of sherry cask maturation, particularly Spanish sherry such as Pedro Ximénez & Oloroso
 
2026 will see the Aberdeenshire based Glendronach distillery reach a 200 year milestone, following its founding in 1826 and boasts a core range of a 12, 15 and 18 year old expression, raising our expectations of a good dram looks, feels and tastes like.
 
Nose: Sweet Cherry & Sandalwood
Palate: Rich dark fruits such as Cherry & Blackberry with an orange twang
Finish: Long, warm, Sweet & light spice
