This is an American single malt whisky made from 100% malted barley, a style that’s gaining worldwide recognition alongside traditional Scotch and Irish whisky.
 
What sets this expression apart is its maturation in specialty European red wine Cuvée casks that have been shaved, toasted, and re-charred (STR). This uncommon cask treatment releases extra wood sugars into the whiskey.
 
Distilled, aged, and bottled at the Virginia Distillery Company in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the whisky’s flavour is shaped by hot summers and cool winters, which help accelerate maturation and add layered complexity.
