Welcome to our interactive tasting notes, we look forward to hearing what you think of the Whiskeys we have sourced this month.
This is your place to tell us how you've enjoyed your Whiskeys, whether that be neat, over ice, in a cocktail, with a mixer or however you prefer to sip your pour.
We have included some information and tasting notes below, on what the distillers suggest you'll find; this may help you pull out flavours as you look for them, but don’t worry if you don’t.
There is no right or wrong answer, how you drink your Whiskey and the flavours you find are what you can relate to so feel free to share your experience.
We don’t recommend you drink all your Whiskeys in one go, its powerful gear, so relax into a slow drink. However, we do recommend you start with the bottle we've labeled 'number one' first, then work your way through in number order and clear your pallet with water in-between each bottle.
Thank you for choosing to fly with Lactodorum Whisky Club, now sit back relax and let’s go on a Whiskey journey together.
Hatozaki Pure Malt 46%
A blended whiskey from the Kaikyo distillery containing only pure malt whiskies. This bottling contains a mix of Japanese malts as well as imported malts, all of which are matured in either Bourbon, Sherry or Mizunara casks.
This whiskey undergoes a two-fold blending process, which creates a smooth whiskey that is easy to enjoy.
Nose - Dried fruits, honey and sandalwood
Palate - More dried fruit, with spices, cereals, a generous measure of malt and subtle helping of vanilla
Finish - The honey is back, but delicately along with a hint of smoke
Fettercairn Ainneamh Single Malt 46%
A single malt whiskey from the independent Ainneamh collection. This Fettercairn single malt is limited to one special cask release, so we hope you enjoy it! This whiskey is exactly as the distillery intended with no added colouring as well as non chill filtered.

Nose - Sweet, with a hint of apple and rye
Palate - Sweet and spicy, with fruit and sugar coming through and a smidgen of charred oak.
Finish - Long and dry with a vanilla undertone
