The Lakes Colheita Cask Finish - Blend

The Lakes Single Malt is used as the main base of this blended whisky. They then introduce Scottish grain whisky and malt whisky from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay.  They then mature the whisky in Colheita (Col-yate-a) Port casks, which is a rare vintage port, created from a single crop.  
 
Nose: Apricot with buttery pastry, ginger and smoke.
Palate: Plum, stone fruit, cinnamon and vanilla.
Finish: Medium and warming cinnamon and aromatic spices
