Stauning Rye
Stauning Rye
Danish Rye 48%
Stauning Rye Whisky uses a unique mashbill that includes a high percentage of rye (more than 50%) along with other grains, such as barley. One of the standout features of Stauning Rye is its use of locally sourced Danish oak barrels for maturation. This is quite rare in whisky production, as most distilleries use American or European oak. The Danish oak imparts a unique flavour
Stauning Distillery was founded in 2005 by a group of seven friends in the small town of Stauning. Their goal was to create high-quality whisky using traditional methods & local ingredients. Their passion for whisky making and commitment to excellence quickly gained them a loyal following.
Stauning has played a pivotal role in putting Danish whisky on the map. Denmark is still a relatively young player in the whisky world & is gaining a reputation for being both innovative & high-quality
