The Distillery is located in Goa on India’s western coast, using Indian barley, pot stills, and benefits from tropical maturation which accelerates ageing and deepens flavour in a shorter time. Paul John has won multiple international awards and is regarded as one of the most interesting Indian single malt producers, especially for export and enthusiast markets.
 
This is the fourth release in the annual “Christmas Edition” series and is finished in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, Port and Madeira wine casks, where the climite contributes to an unusually high 8% angels share.
 
Bottled at 46% and released in 2021, this is a limited edition expression and definitely one for the collectors.
 
Nose: Caramel, Orange, Raisins with a wine & light smoke influence
Palate: Creamy with cinnamon, chocolate, raisins & a subtle smoke
Finish: Long, warming with cocoa, light peat & lingering spices
